This morning I went with my husband to my sports doctor for my damaged back. He referred me to a specialist (we'll call him tomorrow at the main hospital in Luxembourg for an urgent appointment because he's the specialist for Infiltrations, a.s.o.), the new painkillers help, but they make me very tired.
Two of my lumbar discs are almost completely destroyed and the one in the middle shows a herniated disc which is pressing on the main nerve responsible for the legs, hence this numbness and the problems when walking and sitting for long periods. If this does not help, I will probably have to get two new discs in the near future.
That's it, I thank you all for your friendship and loyalty!
PS. I know that here in the galleries are many artists who are worse off than me and I wish them with all my heart much strength and power for the Future.

Ute, I'm only back for one image per gallery, tonight, but I'll be back for more soon. I've seen all your work, however, and I've also read about your health and your condition...and I read one upload where you were really in pain, and feeling desperate. I'm sorry I didn't comment right away; everything has been very challenging at home for me, this month...but I read everything of yours, and I'm very sorry you've suffered so much. I hope you the doctors can do everything possible for you. I'm sorry it's been such a constant struggle.
I've loved your work, of late: You've combined styles, you've experimented, you've mixed photographic images with graphic design, and etching with drawing, etc, etc. In this image, you have a photographic young woman, and then your background changes into a graphic drawing (and even an etching). Your styles change gradually---as if you waved a wand over your art, and it changed wherever you waved it. I love the rooster---it looks like a very fine-line pen drawing, which is a completely different technique than the background. Even the girl fades into cross-hatch lines...a wonderful, moody image, with a real, old european street in the background. I wish you all the best, Ute, and hope you find relief from all your ailments. I'm sorry this has been so painful...
