Description

I'm still alive, I think. Thursday afternoon, I checked in to the hospital to have a Bladder Stone removed. At least that was what everyone thought this procedure was going to be. Then reality stepped in: It was NOT a bladder stone, rather it was a tumor/mass. The doctor had to change tools inside of me and proceeded to get slices of the mass and have them sent over to Pathology for analysis. The verdict, which was kept from me by my sister's request, was cancer. I didn't learn this until I had checked out and got home, Next week I will see the surgeon and get an appointment to see Oncology and set a path for my total recovery. An aside: I can now scratch off having a Foley catheter in my body. And, by the way, it is as unpleasant as you can imagine when it is being removed. To put it mildly, I'm a bit bummed out about the whole thing. I wish you all a great weekend and I wish you all good health. Note: Please listen to your body and get checked out.

Great goth character and dance! I had been wondering where you were but thought it might be because of your volunteer work. I am sorry you've been hit by this but now that it's been found you can be treated properly and cured. I can definitely understand you being more than bummed out, but God's got this.

So sorry you have to face major surgery but I've no doubt you're in good hands and you will be back in full fitness in a reasonable time. It is not fair that you should have to endure such an indignity considering your care for others. I feel as though this girl is a symbol of your free spirit and your desire to free yourself from this awful disease. Stay safe kind Sir! We'll be thinking about you here in Hoylake!

Mike, I'm truly sorry you have to deal with this, esp after the other things you've had to deal with. I'm sorry, and I wish you all the best with it, and with the greatest speed and smallest discomfort. Cancer treatment has come a long, long way, and they get rid of it so often now. I wish you total recovery, Mike. Your image is a woman reaching out to the stars, in a sweeping gesture of reception. It's quite arresting, esp in her blacks and whites, and against a marbly cloud-like ground---beautifully done. I hope you get lots of rest, and that they get rid of the disease entirely, and swiftly. My deepest prayers and wishes...may you get back all the light you give everyday, and more...

Wonderful art, Mike - your talent has lost nothing with all the things you've been through, buddy. Jo and I - and the Girls, of course - are pulling for you, praying for you, and sending out best healing vibrations your way. You're tough, but with a heart of gold. And I have no doubts that you'll kick the evil Mr. "C's" ass.

Yeah..... I had one of those catheters once when I had gallbladder surgery. When the Doc pulled that thing out, they had to peel me off the ceiling... 😫

sorry to hear of your serious health problem and I hope they can cure you.

a long time friend of mine since 1982 was driving down a street when someone crossed over the center medium striking his car head on destroying his car. he was not feeling bad so he got a friend to drag his car to his home. later during the evening suddenly he got a really bad abdomen pain and he went to the hospital. the doctor there discovered that he had cancer on the exterior of his kidney. for him, he was fortunate because the surgeon was able scrap the cancerous cells off. he did not need any treatment. he is still doing good for 77 years old

your render is superb and describes how people feel that are doing with a really serious health issue

So glad to see you back again, but sorry to hear your situation. However, it is a GOOD thing that they caught it while still treatable. Definitely praying for you to respond to treatment and get well - kind of like having you around man.

I like your image - it has a strong core of HOPE in it.
