Description
this was an unique dog and very smart. it was said to be 1/2 cocker spaniel and 1/2 German Shepard , but smaller than either. what it lacked in size, it made up by being able to jump straight up 6 feet. I would hold a treat up as high as I could and it never missed grabbing it. we had Water Moccasins that came up to our yard during floods. this little dog "Puddles" would go around a snake and bark until I came out to kill the snake. once when I was gone to college, my mother opened a cabinet door at the bottom and seen a W. M. in her cabinet. she called a neighbor to come down and shoot it.

A fine ol' dog. "Puddles" sounds like he was an adventure waiting to happen.

Dogs are such amazing animals! I know cats get all the glory, but you'll never find a more loyal companion than a good dog. And they're such acrobats. My dad and step-mom had a miniature poodle that could leap almost that high, and would give most cats a run for their money as far as climbing things.
Wonderful old photo of this pup, Richard.
