This is a portrait of Mrs Coulter? ... didn't think the film did adequate justice to Pullman's books though (the BBC TV series was MUCH better). Great render nonetheless, loads of engaging details.

I have never seen this series, but the character looks quite intriguing- perhaps a bit wicked? If shiny insects are her companions, perhaps not all homey and warm and fuzzy? 😻

It's after the movie, not the series and Mrs. Kidman is indeed one of the evil characters in that. In the original book she is black haired and the series has not been broadcast in my country (to my knowledge, probably they have to use up all the Barnaby Murder series first laughing - I do enjoy those, too)
