As they turn to leave the jail house, the ogre gets louder and louder! Jake gives Jorge a real worried look as he passes out the door. At the front desk, Jorge stops and asks the captain standing behind the dispatcher, 'Can't you get my clients into a safer cell. I'm afraid their next door neighbor is capable of doing physical harm to them. Did you see the size of his hands? I wouldn't be surprised if he could smash right through the wall separating him from my clients!' Just then, almost on cue, there is a loud smashing noise and the sound of bricks bouncing off wall and floor. The screaming heard can only be that of Jake and Silo making their last cries for help. The captain screams at several of his officers who quickly rush into the cell block. There is the sound of gun fire. Six or seven shots are heard and slowly, the noice subsides. One of the officers hollers out asking for a gurney. One is quickly found and wheeled into the cell block. 'I demand to see my clients!' say Jorge. 'Just wait until I'm sure its safe!' says the Captain. The gurney is wheeled out through the cell block door with the huge hulk of the ogre sticking out from under a sheet. 'We had to use six tranquilizers on him Captain. I think we need to transfer him to a higher secure facility before he comes to.' 'Yes. Take him over to Central! They have the best holding cells! How are the other two prisoners?' 'They are okay. A little bruised by the flying bricks but for the most part unharmed. The younger one has made quite a mess on the floor though. Can we get a cleaning crew in there pronto?' 'Yes. Make it snappy. This doesn't look good for our record. Especially with their defense team standing hear watching it first hand!' Finally, Jorge and Red are allowed back into the cell block. Jake is sitting on the bed stroking Silo's head and trying to calm him down. Silo is a quivering pool of shivering nerves. 'Well, at least we finally got rid of that menace!' says Jake as he gets up and comes over to talk to Jorge. 'Something really set that monster off just as you were walk- ing out. That green fellow on our other side looks mighty suspicious as well. I wonder what its story is?' 'Well, we haven't got time to figure that one out, Jake. Right now, Red and I are going to go see what we can do to get you out of here.' 'Better make it soon! I'm afraid this last episode has quite undone Silo!' As Jorge and Red leave the Jail House, Jorge tells Red he has had a thought and asks him to find out as much as he can about the widow that placed Jake and Silo in jail. As quickly as he can, Red starts studying data bases with is wide band electronic brain scanner. 'Oh, here is something.' He says. 'This lady has her hands into just about everything on this planet. And here is something that I think will interest you, Jorge. She is an amatuer archaeologist. She has been involved in many digs on this planet and on a few off planet sites.' 'Are you thinking what I'm thinking?' asks Jorge. 'That you might find common ground with this lady and play on her sympathies to let those two jug heads out of jail by dropping her charges?' ask Red. 'Old buddy, you read my mind!' Next stop, the influential ladies office. Red has contacted the receptionist for the lady and was able to get an appointment with her right away. They go right over to her office and don't have to wait long in the reception area before they are ushered into the ladies office. A strange look comes over her when she looks at Jorge. A sad sort of longing crosses her face for a brief moment. 'What did you say your name was again, young man?' she asks Jorge. 'Jorge Millsapp.' he replies 'Freelance archaeologist.' 'Jorge!' she gasps. 'And what planet is your home planet?' 'Why colony A459 in the Jandeaux sector. Are you familiar with it?' 'Just one more question.' she says very quietly. 'What is your paternal grandfather's name.' 'Well, I'm very proud of my grandfather. I bear his name. He made quite a name for himself in the colony wars many years ago. I'm sad to say he passed away only a few years ago. But when he was alive, he was the best teacher I ever had. Got me interested in history and ultimately archaeology.' Several tears start streaming down the old ladies face and she quickly tries to cover them. 'I'm sorry, Jorge.' she says. 'When I saw you walk through that door, it was like seeing your grandfather again like the first time I saw him. You are the spitting image of him! He and I were lovers shortly before the colony wars. We were engaged and had set the date. Then that senseless war broke out. Your grandfather got called into the army and I along with all the other civilians on that planet got transferred to this gawd forsaken rock. Communications were terrible back in those days. I didn't even know where I had been taken. I never did hear what happened to him. I assumed the worst and picked up my shattered life. I was able to have a few lucky breaks here on this planet. Married quite a cracker jack of a man, albeit not all that honest. Through him, I was able to get to this position I'm in now. But I've never forgotten my first love. So, Jorge, what can I do for you this day?' Jorge decides honesty is the best course of action. He is quite shocked and taken by the old ladies story and has even had to wipe a tear or two from his eyes. But once she asks her question, he relates the full story about how he met Jake and Silo and why he wanted their help. He tells her of the old professors discoveries as well. 'I remember him!' she says. 'He gave a talk about lost civilizations far advanced over ours at one of the symposiums held here recently. You say he passed away?' 'Yes. Most unfortunately. He and I were going to seek the lost planet but he took his last breath barely a week ago.' 'I'm so sorry to hear that! But you believe his story and you want to find that lost planet do you? Well I want to give this some thought. You guys go have your lunch or whatever that android calls lunch, (humorous tinny trill from Red) and meet me back here this afternoon. I will let you know what I can do for you.' 'Thank you, Olivia. You are very kind!' Now where did that name come from wondered Jorge? 'Get out of here you two before I turn into a big blubbering ball of emotions. I don't know where you got that name. I haven't ever been called that on this planet.
