I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Space girl has a very nice suit! I hope she has some fine adventures ahead of her! Perhaps she will make some serious discoveries out in the galaxy somewhere?

Breaking through that glass ceiling in a rocket, boldly going and never mind who tries to get in her way!

It looks great! Red looks good on her! Being the brave person that she is...the photographer had a small test for her! He wanted to know, if she could somehow fake being afraid, as some scenes in the photo shoot required it! I think she did very well! Excellent and very well done! :-)

Thanks. She's showing her range! I like Rochelle so much, she's now the character "Rachel" in my book series. One of my earliest character purchases, and I think still the one I've done the most renders of. I appreciate your comments.
OkrimSlava
well done.

Thank you very much!

Rochelle frightened ? incredible news ! And great scifi image.
LyleAryn
Thanks! I tried to do a "shy" portrait of her once and it ended up being one of the sultriest things I'd done, and there wasn't anything "shy" about it. I might be biased, but I think she's one of the very best!

Beautiful work Lyle, really top notch. Nice to see some closeup work with Spacegirl, I put some subtle detail into the textures, which I think (I hope!) hold up well in close work!
Love the light in the helmet, very 50's sci-fi (in fact, 50's right through to 80's if my memory serves!).
LyleAryn
Thank you! And yes, I love the texture of the suit itself! I'm glad you like it! I did discover a small gap between the collar and the helmet when I lit it up. A little bit of the healing tool took care of it, but I thought it an amusing way to find a leak in the space suit, lol. I hope you're having much success and a wonderful day!

excellent

lylearyn this is an fantastic render ... absolut great lights and the expression is incredibly good
LyleAryn
Thank you thank you thank you! It might have turned into a more complicated setup than I planned, but I'm pleased as punch over the results. I should note that I also fiddled just a bit with the shutter speed. Starting to learn how to mess with those render settings now. Kinda tweaked everything on my "surreal pinup" but here, just adjusting shutter speed a little made just the right amount of difference.

she looks shocked with her expression, a super sci fi piece with great light work.
LyleAryn
Thank you! I'm glad it worked out.

Yep, the light in helmet is a pretty common sci-fi FX. It's NOT at all used IRL, as astronauts like to see out. Just in case there are aliens, robots, alien robots, or spacebabes. It's important to make a fast, and correct identification. Mistaking a zenomorph for a spacebabe because of poor lighting choices would be embarrassing and awkward, and how do you explain this to your parents?
Remember your manuals cadets!
LyleAryn
Lol. For sure! But hey, retro suit. Gotta give it a nice retro style! Thanks for commenting, as always a pleasure!
ikke.evc
Good point Madbat. it's nice too see outside never know what comes along. Nicely done.
LyleAryn
You gotta wonder how the actors managed. I think there must have been a stage hand off-camera, giving them direction. Nowadays we can just green-screen it.
Richardphotos
outstanding results and she is a doll
LyleAryn
She is! From the first time I saw her in the store... i didn't even wait for a sale. She's been worth every penny.

Spectacular job !

Yeah, i think it turned out ai'ight. false modesty
Thank you for having a look, my friend!

I think her expression is really well done. This is actually a very suspenseful render do to the light and shadow that accompany her expression. Interesting your experience with the light factor. I had a similar experience on the one I just posted. No matter how much I bumped the spots there was no effect. Luckily, brain1969's emission light sources came to the rescue. I just killed all fake lighting and used his environmental lighting.
LyleAryn
Brain is quietly a lighting GENIUS. I'll get it figured out, though. I know I will.
Thanks for leaving your feedback! Always a pleasure, my friend.

Rochelle looks fantastic.

Thank you, Starship!

Well, she's either doing a photo shoot, or General Grievous just came through the airlock....
Killer job on this scene - love how you put this together, and yes - it's definitely worth sharing. Glad you did! Your lighting here really helps show the textures of that suit. And it fits her soooooo nicely!
LyleAryn
Thanks! So tempting to play with the nipple slider, but I decided on this one I'd leave it dialed back. lol. I know. I have problems.
