Description

Or is it? Every day is the same now. Being able to have art and friends on Renderosity has kept me sane. I appreciate every view and comment.....always. ****I just realized the images I'm doing in are rendered at 96dpi. I've looked everywhere for how to change that. I hate the pixelation, so obvious in some images. If anyone could tell me how to change that, I'd so appreciate it. I can't see well enough to watch tutorials, and they go so fast. I render on the photographic setting, but need to change to at least 120 dpi or preferably 300dpi. Hope someone who's used Studio longer than five months can help me.

Excellent render, Linda...do like his "well, at least we have each other" expression. Not sure about any pixelation in your renders (haven't seen this). Will PM you.

Hi Linda, With Daz you can't actually change the DPI but you can change the resolution which in turn changes the DPI so to speak. On the internet the resolution is actually 72 DPI so at 96 DPI you are already above that of course. So if you wanted to have a picture that printed out at 300 DPI you would need to render at 3000 X 2400. To get the pixelation out you would need to adjust a few settings.

In Daz go to Render Settings > Progressive Rendering and if you have "Rendering Quality Enabled" on, which it should be by default, you will want to turn up Render Quality to at least 2 and Rendering Converged Ratio to 100%. This will take longer to render, but it will remove more of the pixelation you are experiencing. Basically the more you turn up Render Quality the longer it will take and that is going to depend on if your computer can handle higher settings. 2 should be good though, if not, keep adjusting it higher. Make sure to save your work though before rendering just in case.

Keep up the good work!

Wonderfully nostalgic. This to my eye has a feel of "Danny and Sandy" from the show "Grease." It is a charming image.

This is great. I tend to just render at a really high resolution. If i I need to print it, then I turn up the render quality to 2. And always have the convergence rate all the way up.

Thanks, Lyle. Almost twenty years in Poser spoiled me. It’s the thing I miss most about Poser, the ease of render settings.
