Description

Since you can't see the HDRI ocean scene prior to rendering, I found out after it wasn't there. A royalty free beach scene did the trick, though I had to copy sand around both the girl and the turtle.

Beautiful!

Maybe a silly question of mine, but didn‘t you try a iray preview before the final render? I do this in all the cases where I work with HDRI just to make sure everything is as I want it to. I had it several times, that I forgot to turn on the „draw dome“ switch or the „draw ground“ switch. Furthermore you can render into a separate window, where you can monitor the progress and find out relatively quick, if something goes wrong, before you let it run for hours, just to find out in the end that you forgot something…

Hi- Unfortunately, I have an old AMD Radeon graphics card and I can only render images using CPU only. To render in Iray preview means my PC hangs to the point I have to hard restart the pc. Saving my $$ for a new complete system so that rendering isn't a chore :)
