Description
Piper: What was that peculiar noise meant to represent?
Me: It was my imitation of a tin-opener.
Piper: That was nothing like a tin-opener.
Me: Well, you came home when I made it.
Piper: I came home to see what sort of idiot was making the silly noise.
Me: Silly?
Piper: A very silly noise for a so-called grown-up person to make.
I just hope none of our neighbours heard you.
Anyway, now that I'm here, go and get a real tin-opener and open a tin of my favourite tuna chunks.
Me: That tuna tin doesn't need a tin-opener; it has a ring-pull.
Piper: If my tins don't need tin-openers then your trying to imitate one in use is even more ludicrous than the noise itself.
Ring-pull? Go and pull it, then. Food, I need food!
What are you waiting for?
(I used this image some time back; but the dialogue above occurred to me this morning - at 4:30am to be exact - when Himself wanted to go walkies; by himself, naturally, I'm not wandering around in the dark in my pyjamas for anyone, even a cat.)

Lovely Piper!

Hahaha! Hilarious! My cats either start meowing loud (especially the deaf one and the blind one) or scratching on diverse doors or start chasing each other up and down the stairways (including all the growling, crying and hissing) bumping into things and making a lot of noise at 5:30 AM. Oh and yes, they don't distinguish between week days, so in the weekend they don't give me some more grace minutes in the covers...

Our previous cat used to wake me at 6 when I got up to go to work; and then, after I retired in 2004, continued to do so ...

LOL! This is so funny! I can hear this conversation with my cat, too. They sure do own us, don't they. Good dialogue, it made me smile.

I gotta say that Piper is a smart kitty. She can hear food , even when down the street. awhhh the life of a cat owner. To own a cat is to be owned by a cat, It is a great relationship. So much fun.

I love the conversation! Never try to outsmart a cat! They are way ahead of you at every turn! LOL! I know because I have five that live with me and my wife and they are always outwitting me without even half trying! A great photo of your friend! Most delightful capture!

LOL I love the description to go along and explain. I've had plenty of those "discussions" with me feline.

Sometimes a spirit will cross your path and look you in the eye. Will you return a wink and a smile, or a spit and and a snarl... ;)
Good to see Piper still has you in check, lol... 😸
