I saw a poster for a certain political figure a day or two ago, and I just had to do my own version just for fun. The Girls stand ready to take on all those who would impose a tyrannical Galactic Empire on all of us. Or try to close down the nearest Boutique…. Or Deli…
OK – question for you… Would any of you consider the Girls to be nude in this image? Make no mistake, these ladies have no problem with hijinks in the altogether, but not when they’re in spec-ops mode.
The Girls are all wearing Darkworld’s Skinsuits. These use textures and displacement maps to simulate skin-tight clothing which is mapped to the figure’s skin materials via a pose file. Much the same result may be obtained by simply placing a flat color on a figure’s skin in the material room. This is possible with either Poser or DAZ Studio. This is simulated clothing.
I know a few mods look at my stuff, and I’d like a bit of feedback on this issue. What DOES constitute “nudity” here? Inquiring minds want to know…
I’m asking this not because I’ve had any problems with it here, but others have recently – including a long-time member who has a wonderful story going.
I realize certain laws and standards have to be adhered to. I support that. At the same time, we must keep in mind that to have an ‘art’ site that truly reflects the variety and enjoyment of ‘art’ it’s important to have a clear understanding of what actually constitutes 'nudity.' On the flip side of that coin, it's important to remember we're all human, and a civil sitemail to the right person(s) can work wonders.

This is an interestingly different render, the way it's all in grayscale and made to look like a poster. Really wouldn't know why with a skintight wetsuit that covers up everything it would still be considered as containing nudity. But that's the rule at Renderosity, I guess.
Sorry not to have visited your gallery for so long, by the way. I got abducted by some strange creatures and marooned on a stray comet which carried me right out of the solar system. :P Hope all has been well with you all this time. Keep up the good work!

I did get some good clarification from a couple of Mods, and those wetsuits are not considered nudity, happily!
I was wondering what happened to you! I'll e-mail Hera Syndulla and see if she can come pick you up in the Ghost... 😉

Nope, no nudity here as far as I'm concerned. Unfortunately, different mods have different views on what is considered nudity and what isn't. There is also the issue of someone possibly flagging/reporting the image because they found to be too revealing?? I had to tag an image for nudity here that was OK in the DAZ gallery :shock:, which was really odd. As already mentioned, the mods are people too, so they do make mistakes and have different views. In fact, the image that I had to flag didn't show as much as a thong bikini would (which was noted by RedPhantom above as being OK), so obviously there is a bit of discrepancy on what different people consider visible when wearing a thong bikini.
But as always, your girls are fantastic, no matter what they are wearing!!!

Yeah, it can be fairly subjective... But I try to err on the side of caution most of the time. Someone noodie-flagged my image of Niki piloting the yacht, and I have no problem with it - her bikini is rather revealing.. Heck, even my wife (jshelley) gave me a poke in the ribs about her "attire!" LOL All in good fun... Which is the way it should be! 😁

There is a major philosophical difference between naked and nude. From what I've read so long ago, being naked is to be without defense or covering like battle armor.
To be nude or considered nude, one is just undressed with entirely of maybe not so entirely.
That's my two cents worth, and I am sticking to it.
By the way, this is a wonderful image.

I see no nudity here. There is no suggestion of enticement, seduction or exhibition here. There isn't even skin-tone here. I realize the girl in the middle looks like a cyborg and may not be wearing anything over the body of the machine, but that is hardly nudity in the sense that it ought to be flagged.
