Description

well, I was incorrect. this beautiful duck is a Muscovy duck. I confused it with a Cormorant .thanks to donnena for the identity Cormorant are plentiful at this creek and on a website it showed what more than likely is a Muscovy duck also. so many breeds of ducks cross-breed and what comes from it is anyone's guess

Decidedly, I have a serious doubt that it is a cormorant, but the captures are great 🌺

I'm pretty shure too, that this is not a cormorant. Cormorants have longer beak with a very characteristic hook at the end, and a much longer neck. This head and break seems to belong to a dug. In the last years many "new" sorts of dugs appear. They are crossings between different dug sorts and even crossings between dug and goose. Perhaps this is one of these...

This is a wonderful capture of a Muscovy duck. There are both wild and domestic versions of this duck. They are very good mothers.
