Thanx all.The far background is indeed an high res photografh on an alpha plane Treebark seems odd indeed,maybe because I made the tree from three objects.

Looks good, the one tree you got one of the textures set to metal that's why it looks the way it looks now. It's reflecting.

I just love those deep forests pics...gotta try one myself one day. Besides the texture problem mentioned about the tree in the foreground...the two birds look the same size. I guess that's possible, but one expects the ones further away to look a bit smaller (grin).
