Wow! I am impressed with this great work of art! It has a lot going for it! It has a beautiful girl with a pumpkin full of candy! I has impressive lighting and great use and placement of secondary objects...like the candy on the ground, the bats flying above, the skeleton on the window, the skeleton head with the small candle on top and so many more! I like it as it fits in so well with the Halloween theme we are all enjoying, during the month of October. Excellent and so well done! :-)

Thank you for such a thought out critique. I am glad you noticed all the little details. The concept has been rattling around in my brain for several months. Was going to have her back to camera, hesitant to approach the haunted house. But then I felt that was a little too predictable. So I reversed it, and posed her leaving with a big score of treats. Very early on, I was pleased with the rough composition and color. That kept me going to carefully enhance it with just the right amount of details. The artist in me wanted to light every pumpkin, but storyteller in me said, "nope", just the smiling jack-o-lantern.

Thanks. I am big fan of low angle stuff. But I really pushed it hard with this one. Wanted the Haunted House and sky to loom large. It also gave her a bold proud feel, so I had her stare a little further upward, proud of her tricky work!
