Flash Gordon was debuted on Jan 7, 1934. The comic strip was created by Alex Raymond. The characters have been in comic books, movies, TV shows, and a cartoon. Fearing an invasion of Earth, Dr Hans Zarkov creates an experimental rocket ship. He is going insane under the pressure of no one believing in the attack from the planet Mongo. He forces his friends Alex "Flash" Gordon and Dale Arden into the ship. Where they crash land on Mongo and are taken prisoner by the the evil Emperor Ming the Merciless. Dr Zarkov is feared dead in the crash. Flash and Dale eventually escape and make their way to Arboria home of the Tree People.
