Location: Staffordshire, England. Â
DOB : 10th June - you don't think I'm telling you which year do you ???
Oh, I will say that I'm female - I get so many emails addressed 'Dear Sir' it drives me nuts!!!
A little bit about me......
I used to paint on canvas in oils an acrylics many years ago so when I took up digital art it all seemed very different. Think I'm just getting the hang of it by now ;-)
I love animals, hate animal cruelty.  Love poking around in old ruined abbeys and castles - fortunately, there's a profusion of both where I live. Love the countryside, hate towns and cities. AND I HATE FOOTBALL!!!! (Sorry for shouting the last bit)

Lovely scene, great atmosphere. It has been lovely and sunny here the last couple days.

Nicely evocative as usual Gillian. Cold and foggy this morning here in Glasgow. No chance of seeing the moon last night. Had to look out my tammy/woolen hat before I ventured out for the food shopping ('going the messages' here in Scotland), but I found no need for gloves yet, at 2C and just walked briskly. We did have a good frost four mornings a fortnight ago on our exposed ridge to the east of the city.
Went out the front door to put the bins out one night about midnight, and a wee vixen passed across the path in front of me, gave me a quizzical look, and proceeded to cavort in my small, open front garden, before relieving herself. I didn't move, just watched he and asked my wife to come out, but she had gone out the kitchen door to deposit items in the bins, and didn't pay me any heed. The wee thing continued to play for a bit, then spotted her mum coming out behind a house further down the slope, and turned to me, as if I was going to feed her, and then reluctantly followed her mum. No phone on me unfortunately to take a photo, although in the low light from the eco-friendly street light I don't think I would have got any. I do have my phone on silent. My wife says they walk down beside her to the main road about 0600 hours as she heads for the hospital, and sometimes later on the way back, as if they are guarding her. She was initially frightened of their calls, when we moved here two years ago, from the 11th floor of high flats in the Glasgow Airport flight path in the outer West End. and being West African could only equate them with some form of hyena, but they no longer frighten her. I reckon someone must be feeding them for them to be so without fear. I have seen their unmistakable signs in my back garden recently. Look after yourselves in this time. We are on Tier 3 of 5 here, but the R number is going down steadily. Nicola has advised folk not to visit England though, where a large number of contacts were made. Our Track and Trace app seems to be quite good with a very high uptake. Hope that Liverpool has a successful test campaign, although the sheer numbers are against it.

We live close to countryside so have plenty of wildlife around. Actually heard squirrels for the first time this morning as there were 2 of them having a bit of a spat on the trees above us. Fisticuffs on the towpath LOL!

Such a gorgeous autumn scene! We have foxes here and this is the first year I have seen them--I think they do a good job on the mice and such. I hope you are having a lovely and safe fall! Things are looking up a bit here :D
