Description

I have three major appointments coming up in December: December 3 is the Pre-op date, along with the Stoma Nurse who will make sure that the 'bladder' bag is situated properly. December 12, Saturday, I go in the have that glorious Nasal Swab shoved somewhere in my brain, AND I will have my personalized MRI (I called it my IRM much to the frustration and delight of the nurse in the Urology clinic. On December 14, 2020, I will be lying down on the Operating table and prepare for my own edition of the Pit and the Pendulum. I will be asking that I get copies of the IRM and the pictures taken during surgery. I know that it may sound weird to some of you, but I want to see what they took out during the operation. Hopefully, they will take pictures from my first go in the operating room when I am transported to the recovery room.

So glad you have your dates. Onwards & upwards now. I think it good idea to see scans etc. When l had my knee operation, l stayed awake, unfortunately, they put screen up, so l couldn’t see but was interesting hearing the surgeons talking.

Damn.... Looks like they've already snapped a photo, Mike! I recognize this little bugger from last time I had kidney stones... I hope they extract him, put him in a box and send him to a deserving individual. I can think of someone right now....😉

Glad you're able to make some plans now, and hopefully everything will go smoothly, and the recovery will be fast and complete. We're all pulling for you, buddy! Got'cha in the prayers!

Not sure who's gonna need the 'happy drugs' more, though - you or your nurses... 🤣

On the taking pics of the surgery...Gak When I had my hip replacement surgery my Specialist at the VA asked me if I would allow Filming of the procedure for a teaching aid for others in the VA system, I told him "knock yourself out", The last check he did before I left the Hospital he gave my ole Lady a copy of it on Disk. We started to watch it a couple days later, I watched as far as the first incision got up and left didn't want to see it, I asked Louise a bit later how it was and she cracked me up saying "had a good beat, easy to dance to I'd give it a 75" Smart ass...
