Description
looking Northwest. a deceased friend lived about 20 some miles to the Northeast in Poteau, Oklahoma where he perished.. he lived in a cabin he built for 9 years with no electric (except a generator for occasional use) and no running water or phone service. he saved rain water for drinking and watering the few crops. It was west of here in the foot hills. if I come across the picture I took of the cabin, I will post. I lived with him and his first wife in California. later in Oklahoma I worked with him doing architectural drafting until I went to work for 2 steel companies.

from when I was young, I have only one friend that I talk to occasionally. we attended the same schools and lived on the same street. I told him recently that he was the only one left that I know now. he realized he could say the same about me

Fantastic view, and a great shot, Richard. Been to this spot a time or three myself - it is specatular.
Sounds like your friend was a real off-the-grid fellow. The pioneer spirit is still alive..

On a clear day you can see forever... and ever...
Wishing your friend peace and happiness in the hereafter, Richard. Hey, can you give me a pair of wings so I can soar over this lovely place?
