___ Nothing spectacular in this photo, nothing spectacular in my amateur photographer's existence, in this locked-down fall season, as beautiful as every autumn season, except that taking photos in the countryside or gazing at nature's autumnal colours has become an offense liable for a heavy fine over here in this country.
___ Here, another glorious and sunny, though chilly day has just passed lately somewhere at the feet of the Vosges mountains, in the One-Thousand-Ponds regional parc (Parc régional des Mille-Étangs, France), time to head back home, have a hot chocolate and muse over the second current general lockdown...Hoping such things don't come in threes!...
____Thank you so much for your support and nice comments on my latest Swiss photo, have a nice weekend and above all, be merry, while staying safe...I also hope that yesterday's bug on this very picture will be now fixed once and for all :-)

Yes, this virus has presented humans a big challenge and daily discomfort, inconvenience, sickness and unfortunately death. But if the proper mitigation measures had been taken more seriously by governments right from the start (e.g. shut downs that lasted more than a couple of weeks) and an earnest continuation of the proper measure of personal mitigation efforts took place, our daily lives would be far better at this point. I simply don't understand what is so difficult about wearing a mask and to socially distance?

Viewing the soft, subdued and autumnal glow pervading this scene, I find myself slowing down everything I'm doing and breathing more deeply. :) This is a very calm and tranquil nature scene. Love the sense of atmospheric depth. One thinks of the second movement from Vaughan Williams' Pastoral Symphony.
(I can't understand why just gazing at some scenery or taking photos can be an offense. Why?... :( )
