Wonderful imagination! Even such a lovely kitten is a savage beast for the little fairy.

Don't worry, the draggonflies will smell the mushroon rot scent and release a chemical reaction as they investigate, thinking it is food. The mushrooms will then begin to manufacture mutant spores that can knock out a full sized cat. All the little fae has to do is beat her wings at the right moment, at the right time. It's a long shot, but I'm sure she can do it... π
Thanks for the fun B-Po, keep up the good work my friend!

(love rhol's comment---it ends "Thanks for the fun B-Po---years ago I had a friend with the nickname "Beapo"---I won't tell you why, it's too long, but we all loved her name, and I hadn't thought of it for ages) Anyway, I'm doing another one, I just had to...I love the sly humor in this, a perfect fairy tale image, with totally realistic imagery---the shrooms, the beautiful d.flies, the moss, roots/branches/driftwood, etc....with a fairy tale creature, all being watched over by a real cat. (Your cat?) I don't see the cat as a threat (well, it could be, but to me it's more like an intruder wondering what in the world is unfolding down there). So much packed into a small space---Ute comments on that---and it's charming, magical and slyly humorous. I think the cat will leave them alone---a few swipes maybe, but that's all. Looks like the magical power of the fairy will fend off any threat. She has a metallic, almost pearl-like sheen too. Total delight, Barb.
