and it went down well - enough for 3 (1 pound [454gm] mince, 1 big oniot and 2 lb potato}.
All my own work.
(Not very good at pastry, though).

I learned this recipy from my parents, always a favorite to make once and a while. We call it Shepherds Pie and add some corn kernels, or cream of corn to the bottom layer. Ground beef also works, with some cheddar cheese melted on top... 🍛

Minced beef (Ground beef) is used in the Cottage and Cumberland pies, and minced lamb in the Shepherd's pie. All very satisfying!
