Peter Gunn Revisited - III - The story continues...
Opening her trench coat, she asks, "Hey, gumshoe, does it look like I'm armed?"
Seeing that this might be a diversion, Peter tries his hardest to keep an eye on her hands and the surroundings.
"I can see that missy. What I can't see is what's behind your coat or in your pockets," Peter says while staying vigilant.
"Ah, come on," she says in her most sultry voice, "would you like to come over and frisk me? Certainly you would. You wouldn't be much of a man if you didn't want to do that now, would you?"
Peter thought to himself, 'She's good, and good looking too, but not worth taking a bullet to the head good.'
About then, Peter heard a sound come from behind her. Her coat blocked his vision, and he found it odd that she didn't jump or even flinch at the sound.
