Peter Gunn Revisited - V - a continuation....
The beeping continued, and while Joe fumbled, Peter thought, "Is he rigged with a bomb? If I shoot him, we might all blow up. This might not end well."
About then, Commie Kamala jumped out from behind a pillar holding a gun.
"Joe, YOU IDIOT. I Told you to leave your watch at home," she yelled at Joe.
Peter changed aim to Commie Kamala and realized Joe isn't much of a threat to anyone.
Joe fumbled with his sleeve and pressed some buttons on his 1972 watch. It must have been one of the very first watches with an alarm. It probably cost thousands in 1972, and is less functional than a dollar-store watch today. As Joe fumbled, Peter realized Joe isn't dealing with a full deck.
"JOE!" Kamala shouted, "STOP PLAYING WITH YOUR FRIGGIN' WATCH."
Joe jumped and poked the handle of his butter knife in to Veronica's back. Veronica was scared. Peter knew Joe didn't have enough strength to do any damage with the handle of a butter knife, so he kept his gun pointed on Commie Kamala.
"Kamala, I always knew you used Joe as a shill," Peter said in a deadpan voice, "You're thinking if Joe gets killed you'll take over the mob. Well, I think you've come to a dead end today."
The lights flickered creating confusion and chaos. Kamala lunged towards Peter.
