Description
I found these while walking Bodie. if they had became air borne from the truck while crossing the railroad too fast, someone could have been impaled . I checked price online and it is more than $5.00 each

Magnificent but dangerous, beautiful photo

You can find some pretty interesting, and amazing things on the roads!!

Very interesting geometrically and texture wise. Yikes ... I would want these coming through a windshield at 60mph. This road trash represents some really careless loading practices at work. Likewise, on of these could easily blow out a tire if it was hit at the right on coming angle.

God ! What a terrifying story ! The difference of texture is interesting !

Yes indeed - those would be pretty deadly. Cool shot of these big ol' bolts, Richard!
I worked in a GSA warehouse for a few months back in '74. We had a new guy, and our Foreman, Russell and I were showing him around. We came to a bin that had some huge wrenches (they had a bout a 2-inch span). The new guy said "Wow! What do they use those for?" To which Russ (he had a very dry sense of humor) replied, "Oh those are used to tighten the nuts on an elephant..." He didn't even crack a smile. The look on the new guy's face was just epic... I just about fell on the floor laughing..
