Description
This is a blues and jazz bar that is a block from my home. I just found out that they are closing down. I felt terrible after hearing about this. It's another piece of NYC history. Even my father patronized this place. I also enjoyed the live music too.

What a shame - so many wonderful places like this are falling due to this virus and lack of any kind of leadership lately. At least you've preserved it for future generations - assuming there are future generations.

I did the same with another famous place. Look up the Lenox Lounge.

I love places like this--intimate and out of the way...I presume it's closing due to the damned virus...really a shame. I see where 21 Club is closing down too, at least for awhile...So much history down the drain. Sad times.

Yes indeed. My father also knew the people who ran the place. I miss the live music too.
