I was able to speak with an old friend from Mexico today. he is 78 and he has had numerous health problems.
maybe 2 years ago a man crossed the centerline of a street and hit him head on. he was not feeling bad then, so he called a friend to tow his car to his home. that night he started having a terrible pain in his abdomen, so he went to the hospital. the doctors discovered that he had cancer on the surface of his kidney. they were able to scrap it off with no treatment needed. he had been going to Mexico each month to buy medicine, but the Covid19 caused the border to be closed and as well Canada. it may reopen in January. he told me many of his relatives have died recently in Mexico during border closing, so he was not able to go for their funerals
we just met by chance when I was working at a store in 1982

That's a nice car.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend's difficulties. It seems like a lot of what is being done to try and fight this Coronavirus hasn't been thought through very well by any of the governments.

Alas, the covid has killed many people not only by infecting them but by consequence. It's a very sad year and I think that 2021 will bring the same thing, courage Richard, we have to hold on.
