Description
discovered the powerful vox layer tool in 3d coat, which is totally amazing for making armor and clothes. only issue i had is that you have to create a thickness, normally thats ok, but i had to remove the inner layer for better mapping, and thickness wasnt needed. finagled in zbrush to get the topology and uv, and its a snap to conform clothes in character creator. i already made a skin suit for the base figures, but after all the updates needed another to better fit the cc3+ figures. also was nice to learn the vox layer brush (again, cant stress the ease at which you can make clothes and armor). this version looks better, came out smoother, has better poly count for fitting and posing. also, cc3 keeps hidden mesh properties embedded in the clothes, and ive tested the other figure bases and am very pleased. now that i have a better understanding of the process and grasp on new tools to take advantage of, i can morph and build on the suit for other projects.
