Description

Perry Hall, no longer exists - demolished in 1928, thanks to the miserly actions of a City Council, with no thoughts for the future, unless it can yield big profits. Originally built in the late 16th.c. completed in 1576. I was inspired to re-create the hall after seeing an image on the internet of an oil painting, by Thomas Bardwell. Being only 2D, I was intrigued to know what the composition couldn't show - and so, with my architectural sleuthing hat firmly in place, have attempted to create the house and gardens from the rear. With no ground plan to survive, the results are purely hypothetical, and should only be considered as a possible layout of the house when the view of the house was made.

Thanks for that comment. That's praise indeed coming from someone who has succeeded themselves in creating brilliant realism. All through my life, I've been obsessed with 'the detail' - whether it's been modelling, painting, making costumes or performing. Better New Year, Pete.
