Description

Sam update: Sam had a rough day at the vet yesterday going through a battery of tests. His meds were adjusted, and he's doing as well as can be expected. The seizure has left him completely blind, but he's learning to cope. I think I'm having a harder time coping then he is. He was on the back porch sunning and must have heard me unlatch the gate to take out the trash. He came around the house and barreled down the side walk-way towards me. I called out for him to stop, but he heard my voice and only came faster and I couldn't get to him in time. He ran into the garden wagon I store on the side of the house hard enough that his legs came out from under him and he flipped completely over. It's heartbreaking. Anyway, he had another mini-episode, but recovered fairly quickly. I pulled his old puppy playpen out of the shed. He willingly spends a lot of time in there, and sleeps in there - probably because he feels safe, and his sister can't bully him in there. So, there is that. Sorry if I haven't commented on your art lately, I've just been too swamped with the Holiday Contests and other work duties. It's been crazy. The doll in the image is one of the two dolls I had hand-made based on my two most popular characters, Zam and Zan. I haven't had him out of his display case in years, and since the cover art I'm working on is a doll contest, I thought it was time he got out and stretched his legs. That one is the Zam doll.

The doll, and lighting around him is very magical.

I'm truly sorry to hear Sam is struggling. It's hard to watch a pet decline. I'm sending love and strength to you and love and scritches to Sam.

Wonderful image, my friend - lovely, moody light and feel - suits my mood lately very well.

Aw, poor Sam! Glad he's ok after the collision with the wagon, poor fellow.. My best to both of you in this difficult time.

You know Sam won't be tentative for long. He'll map the place out soon enough... He's a good boy! You could build some sort of a Muffin's halo for him to prevent him bumping into stuff.

This image is wonderfully done, love it a lot! 🌞 A dog (or a cat) is for me like a member of the family and when one of my 2 little spoiled ones is sick (I had 3), or even died, he always has a place in our hearts! I wish you and yours a very nice and covid-free Weekend!
