Ok more catching up (starting from where I left off)...A delightful christmas eve image...the young child does remind one of the infant jesus in christmas images, but you made it so innocent and pure, it could be any infant (which universalizes it for everyone). As I've said, I have no clue how you do mixed media (how you manipulate the images), all know is you do it magically---the child is all rolled in a ball like a real infant, and the light on it, and that great cap (and are those wings?) and how comfily he fits into santa's glove---great stuff, Barb. And santa is looking at us as if to say, "is this an adorable child?" He's not plastered with a hallmark smiling face, but rather a quiet invitation. Love the purples in the foreground, and the icy lake, and the light pouring in from the top. A perfect christmas eve image. Normally I'm invited to either family or friends on the holiday, and I try to make the 'rounds'...but with covid so intense (and just getting over a really intense few months w/ my sister's legal work, and being physically run down), i didn't dare step out of my home. The city was so still, you could hear a pin drop. Your image captured that peace. I hope your holiday was peaceful and sweet, like this image.
