Description
In her office at the observatory Zavora uses the Libris telescope to monitor the effect on Mirrorsun of her rocket experiment. Just as she had hoped, the rocket caused one of the Wanderers, pre-Greatwinter military satellites, to collaterally attack Mirrorsun and cause significant damage. But Mirrorsun is much more resilient than she thought and self-repaires the damage within weeks. The repairs complete, it begins a mysterious reconfiguration, reforming parts of the ribbon to disks.
The Highliber is SPICY Masala with Georgia hair, wearing the V4 Ranger top (combined with the Queen of Hearts sleeves), Space Defenders: Commander pants, and Courageous boots, from DAZ. Her holsters are from DAZ's Steampunk Wilde, with double-barreled flintlocks by fergal_kelly, from the Thingaverse. Zavora's assistant in the background is V4 outfitted with components from Courageous and with Iggy hair, from DAZ. The telescope is by Bessm, from TurboSquid. The Observatory is built from the Gentleman's Game Room (DAZ) and a free low-poly Observatory dome from CGTrader. The furniture and books are from the Fantasy Library, the Steampunk Bookstore and Babbage's Thinking Machine. The night sky is Flink's.
The scene, inspired by the Greatwinter trilogy, was composed and rendered in Poser 11 Pro.

Interesting scene. The telescope really should have an equatorial mount otherwise impossible to keep anything in view for more than a few seconds.

Once again, you're completely correct. I considered building some mechanics, even something as simple as a crank wheel with an assistant working it, but thinking I'll never get this finished, settled for just fitting an eye-piece to the highly scaled-up telescope, and concentrated on the composition and lighting.
Incidentally, I augmented the text to advance the story.
