Hi Ute...I've been away a long time due to a death in the family, and fatigue, etc. I'll comment on a few of your artworks today, and then more on my next visit to RR. As always, you've posted beautiful work, with your usual mix of beautiful styles, creativity, humor, mystery, yearing, and so on. I know you suffer all the time with repeated pain and struggles, and I hope they haven't prevented you from enjoying your life as much as you can. I hope 2021 is a much better year for you, and for Rene, and for all your loved ones.
This is a haunting 'invocation' to winter...the woman's hair is dark, but you've postworked the image so her hair seems to be made of white crystals and swirling mists. She's like a goddess. You've put her face between two leaning branches (from trees)---as if the trees were her crown. And you've created small crowns for her eyebrows too---beautifully done. Her face is reflective, maybe even a bit sad...but after 2020, she has the right to be sad. But your image invites us into a magical place beyond the ice. You did a very fine job blending images here. And her pink-ish face has a subtle blue tone to it---to harmonize with the blues of the image. Haunting and beautiful, a perfect invitation to winter, with the hope that it will bring purification and change...
