The Coronavirus Conspiracy: What did the US government, Congress and the media know, and when?

Bob Woodward's revelations have exposed a massive conspiracy at the highest levels of the American state. US President Trump deliberately misled the public about the Covid 19 pandemic in order to cover up the danger posed by the virus. This is proven by the recordings now published by the Washington Post journalist.
In the recordings published by Woodward, Trump admits to deliberately lying to the public. Meanwhile, his criminal policies have cost the lives of nearly 200,000 people. It is clear, however, that he did not act alone.
Woodward's name is associated with the exposure of the Watergate affair in 1974, which led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. Members of the Republican Congressional Campaign Committee broke into the Democratic Party headquarters in the Watergate complex in Washington during the 1972 presidential campaign and installed listening devices. The break-in, however, was only the core of the affair, which uncovered further, grave abuses of government power.
The Watergate affair, however, pales in comparison to the Trump administration's crime today, which has resulted in preventable deaths on an egregious scale. However, the bigger the crime, the higher the number of co-conspirators. While the Watergate affair involved only a handful of people, not only the president but also his cabinet, the state administration apparatus, the intelligence agencies, Congress and the media covered up the danger of the coronavirus.
The questions fundamental to the Watergate affair, "What did the president know, and when did he know it?" are now, "What did the government, Congress and the media know, and when did they know it?

Beautiful scene and colors! There was no leadership from Washington, individual State took action which helped but it was not coordinate. I think incompetence was the bigger part of the problem. Thank you for the article!

Though I am predominantly leftist in my views, I take the WSWS with a large pinch of salt. There is not a lot of evidence for their conspiracy theories, which frankly are no more credible than those on the right. Its demonstrably ridiculous, for example, to say that the state administrators (many who are diametrically opposed to trump) colluded in a COVID cover up. For the sake of your sanity I urge you to ignore them all :)
I do feel a bit sorry for the press, who are accused by the left of supporting Trumpism and covering up the truth, and accused by the right of being socialist stooges and suppressing free speech... seems they can't win!

Oh...... Trump..... I cannot even find the words. Anything I can come up with is totally insufficient for describing this utterly despicable, sorry excuse for a human being. He is an instigator and a traitor. He needs to be removed from office NOW, tried for TREASON against the United States of America, convicted and put in front of a firing squad. His crimes are unforgivable and unpardonable.
