As of this writing, we're a fourth of the way there (400,000 souls gone). I expect come 2025 we're still going to be dealing with the fallout from Covid, even if we do get the virus itself under control.
As for everything else, the Republicans' reckoning begins tomorrow after The Creature (Keith Olbermann called him as such) boards Air Force One for the last time as a tiny, tiny crowd watches from the tarmac. Remember their names: Hawley, Cruz, Graham, McConnell, McCarthy. "Unity and healing?" The new "Thoughts and Prayers." Those who aided and abetted MAGA and The Creature in any shape, form, or fashion need to be drummed out of Congress and summarily marked for eternity like Hester Prynne from "The Scarlet Letter."

100 % agree. Getting old, I would barter an awful lot to save even a single American Life. Ending inequities has got to start.
