Description
I also rendered a version with the alien derelict spaceship instead of the rusty structure in this version but after much consideration I prefer this one. Thanks for viewing!

Very nice. What software did you use to do this? I put yo on my list to follow after a brief tour of your gallery. I need to spend some time in there. Good stuff.

I use POV-Ray. I may be the only individual on the planet still using it but it is free, the latest version 3.7 incorporates full 64 bit and multi processor support and it doesn't require fancy hardware. The interface is script based (no GUI) but I'm fine with this as I do most object placement procedurally and for the rest a little layout of a scene on graph paper significantly reduces the need of a GUI.
