Description

Built following the demo video available on the Alias|Wavefront website. A simple scene: room with a crack in the wall, a sphere, and one point-light source. On the top is a render using Mental Ray 1.5's global illumination feature, and on the bottom , the same scene rendered with Maya's built in render engine. Mental Ray 1.5 for Maya is available for beta download @ www.aliaswavefront.com.

Mental Ray is surely a great rendering program, but I'm sure you could tweak the lights with maya rendering soft. Nice light study anyway ;=)
