Computer geek extarodinaire, I love to tinker with gadgets and tech items to get them to do what I want. I'm either logically artistic or artisically logical. I'm also rude, crude, semi-barbaric, socially unacceptable, and totally psychotic. On the bright side - I am potentially harmless. I'm currently trying to write some short stories about the fae as well as a novel on those same fae as well as two other novels. The programs I have for photo and image editing are: Photoimpact from Ulead, Adobe Photoshop 7 and Corel Paint Shop Pro 2X. Recently I've added DAZ Studios as well as Terragen, Blender and Google Sketch to my list of programs crowding my hard-drive.  All this and much more on an old Pentium III 450 with 396 Megs of memory and operating Windows XP. It does get interesting at time.As of December 26, 2008, I have added Vue 7 Pioneer to my list of reason of why I'm going insane.
As of January 2010 I upgraded to a new HP 2 dual core processor with 6 gigs onboard mem with 4 gig powerboost and 2.07 terabytes of Hard drivesMy email is faemike55@gmail.com

Anyone got a fly swat?
Can't stand spiders, and the idea of flying ones, not good!
Nice work!

Oh, like spiders aren't terrifying enough when they crawl! We will need big cans of bug spray. A cool image, Mike!

Oh, just what we need! That's a lot scarier than flying monkeys.... 😲 Andy's right - there are certain species that - as 'babies' - will expel a long fiber of webbing, and let it catch the breeze which launches the spider into the air. But those are just tiny ones. Full-sized flying spiders, though..... Gaaah... Time to load up the ol' 12-guage!
Really great job on this, Mike!

Yikes 😬 The thought of flying spiders is devastating.
Magnificent Sci-fi scene and presentation.
Happy New Year Mike. It’s been a whirlwind of events— was locked out of Renderosity - finally back in just to find no more notifications I did join Facebook Renderosity however it’s not the same.
Hopefully this finds you well and keeping as good as possible.

Yes, for sure! Not the direction I like evolution to be taking! Is Mother Nature that pissed off at us? Probably so! A splendid image, Mike! Very well presented! Bravo!

maybe the murder hornets will go after them

Quick somebody call the swat team. Now quit being such a baby and go out there and see if they’re friendly they probably are. You go first and I’ll be right behind you.

That last line reminds me of something that was spoken on January 6th.

there is a lake out in East Texas that has so many spiders with humongous webs in the trees. when the strong winds blow, the webs are blown away from the trees floating in the wind currents along with the web builders. the first time I seen them flying over freaked me out. I will get close to spiders for a photo op, but I care nothing about them being in my house. humorous render Mike and superb work

Oh my...flying spiders ! We are in big trouble now : ) I heard once a spider can fly across oceans with a sail made of silk. Ill be keeping a eye on the sky !
A_Sunbeam
Maybe they are actually harmless and don't attack humans - just land on them by accident and squash them flat ... I can remember stories in the comics I used to read in my schooldays - and there was a story once about giant hornets.
Great image, chum!
ACue
Oh no! Maybe they can take on the killer hornets.

It's a beauty, Mike. But yes, those big teeth, huh? They look like the horns of a bull, so I am happy that this beautiful, but treacherous spider is well glued to the screen.

Yeach, Mike! Now you got me nightmares!! I always hated spiders (one of the very few animal species I can't stand) even as a child. since about 20 years I started to arrange with them. They shall leave me alone and I will leave them alone. How ever I never forget that morning when i took a shower and when I put on the T-shirt, a big, fat, black spider fell out of it (It hide in the T-shirt and fell out as I pulled it over my tummy) Man, I was awake then pretty fast and my heart raced in the early morning...

oh I heard about these (texas got them, as richard attests)...love your render---the spider looks like he really belongs in that photo. I know spiders do a lot of good for the environment---and native americans worship "spider woman" as one of their wisest goddesses---but sorry, they ARE kinda creepy, and the idea that they can imitate boeing 707's is a bit much...I sympathize with your feelings. (Give 'm an island somewhere...) Love your render. Considering all you're dealing with, Mike, It's very heartening to see your sense of humor and play. I wish you so much healing, and I hope you receive it.

Great scene and render!

Spiders are cute... I like them! Here's a fun fact: when you're on land you are within 8 ft. from a spider lol They don't like peppermint so if you bathe in peppermint you should be okay... but I dunno there's always that spider that lost his olfactory sense so that one might bundle up with you...

Wonderful image my friend and thanks to TwiztidKidd going to bath in a tub of peppermints lol
