Description
made in Photoshop 6. I have a color version as well, but I like the b & w version so I decided to post it. Please let me know what you think, and pass along any pointers you think I could use!

Very nice work! Beautiful atmosphere in B&W. Maybe the red 'eye' is too much?

You're probably right about the eye...I just HAD to have some color even if it was just that little bit; I wanted to emphasize certain aspects I saw in the 'face' on that end. Though the "cradle" is an abstract shape, that end evoked a vision of a grim (evil?)warrior in armor. The other end of the cradle brings a long-haired woman (from behind) to mind...maybe 'she' is the lighter side. Together they are the extremes of the essence of soul. Whew! long-winded explanation for a red-eye, huh?

Great abstract composition! Maybe don't remove the red eye completely just desaturate it with the sponge tool to make it less bright. Although I think it might look cool if you made the eye look more like a black crater, a little larger and hollow...this would keep attention on the eye without being too obvious.

this is so cool... and from the thumb, i saw the woman, hoever, on the right-hand side i see a monkey... and with that red eye, it makes me think of that delicious tale "The Monkey's Paw"... man this would be so neat to build a mould for and cast into metal form...
