Description
I do not recall posting this, but if I did maybe worth seeing twice.
I really want to get out on a road trip. snowed in Las Vegas last night and Malibu, CA. I was sort of hoping for some here . still got my snow shovel ready and waiting.
I am waiting to build a runtime so I can decide what size of SSD I want an internal or external . leaning toward an external so I can disconnect quickly in case of violent storms like this morning.
the electrical charge that knocked one of my desktops killed the main hard drive and an SSD

Sorry to hear that your one computer sorta died.
As for San Diego, I've been there a few times courtesy of the US Navy.

thanks. I already got it repaired. I usually do my own repairs, but getting interrupted every few minutes causes my brain to lock down

Nice shot, a huge city it seems.

I love this aerial photo with its unusual design element of clouds outlining the edge of the city.

Nice shot, that's some view!
I would love to travel, too. I've been taking care of Mom for almost 5 years, so I haven't been out anywhere, even before Covid19. Hang on in there, Richard!

Wonderful picture. As to your thoughts on the hard drive you are making a very wise decision. I would also like to encourage you and everybody else to make your back ups regularly. Also learn to do what are called image backups. They will assist you greatly in restoring a system in a hurry. If you have questions don’t hesitate to ask I’ll walk you through the process.

Sorry to hear about your computer and data trouble, something that , one day or another, descends upon the poor creatures that we are, who hope that this will never happen to us, as computer science is said to be infallible and perfect ! I hope your prospects on a forthcoming road trip will come true, as this impressive and beautiful photo strongly demands it !

Gorgeous view... I love it!!
So sorry to hear you lost your data... invest in a good surge suppressor, not the 9 dollar one from Walmart, they do protect your electronics.
