Description
First poser 11 render but in firefly still, not superfly.
One thing I dont like p11 is the way ground plane, lightning and background work like p9 👎😪
My characters in superfly render in a dark gunmetal look. A blackish blue.
I still have numerous p9 renders in stock to post so will have a mixture of posts in both.

Dang🌨🌨🌨🌨🌨 lots of snow in our city today and still has not quit yet. Not so great of driving conditions.

Fine image.
You will find that the Poser 11 background is a sky dome too, taking all the sky textures by Flink and the procedural skies from the Dimension3D materials collection. And the Ground takes ground textures from Terradome. And you can still use the ground the old way by turning on Shadow Catch Only and selecting Wire Frame under Display. Also point lights render so fast you can use all you want to.

Hi Steve - I'm sorta back with commenting :) Glad you've move up to P11 - scene looks really nice. P11 will take some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, you'll like it. As for your gal's skin in SuperFly: you will need to get EZ Skin 3. It's free. I'll PM you the site for download.

Looking gooood here, Steve! Great first render - I think you and P11.3 will get along fine once you've played with it a bit... There is a way to get rid of that ground-plane and background. I'll have to look and see what I did..
I've not done much with Superfly yet - it does take some fiddling, but Firefly still looks great! I'm gonna bug Barb for that EZ Skin 3 link! LOL I use the original EZ Skin all the time.
We just got a light dusting here today - not enough to stop a trip to the grocery store... 😄

Yeah we got winter part 2 this week, down to ... um ... -4F kinda thing. Still, that's better than -40. We get that here.

Great to see you using your new version of poser. Yes, super-fly is very different in the surfaces it uses. More times than not, older versions characters will not render unless you really dive deep into the material room and resurface them. Still the newer render engine is quite nice and once you learn to work with it it turns up some really wonderful characters. So have fun and enjoy your new version

Great image Steve!!! I make the ground plane invisible on all of my renders and use an environment sphere. :-)
