that hour looks interesting, but if you sleep that long, you won't be able to wake up remembering those books, so eat less, talk less, sleep less.. I did not see the benefit of the otherwise, nice work!

The pail on the hand pump looks like one I have used before. It (the pump) had a leather plug which had to be primed, hence the pail never being completely empty. Holding the pail to the spout so the water could be drawn backwards on the up stroke until the plug swelled and sealed the shaft pipe drawing the well water upwards with the down down stoke. Days seem oddly longer with out that collaboration of necessity. I still have my big Ben wind up alarm clock. The books... we never really got along. GREAT IMAGE!
