Description

Kimo finally got up the courage to talk to Lilinoe. If he doesn’t chicken out, he may even ask her out. She is putting on her best innocent face, but she is thinking, “It’s about time!” (This is the first image I have done since the accident.) Just letting you know that I am alive, a little beat up, but still among the living. I won’t know when I can put weight on my legs until the middle of next month. Luckily I am quite good at getting into the wheelchair and moving around the house. Ray and my sister are very good caregivers and I am improving every day but boredom is starting to set in now that “crisis mode” is over. For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, I was in a head-on collision on the 29th of November. Both legs were broken and the pelvis front and back, all surgically repaired. The 4th and 5th lumbar vertebra were fractured but didn’t need attention. There were 5 ribs broken and my sternum. On top of that I had internal injuries that required two surgeries and the removal of my spleen. I don’t remember a lot of it but Ray spent a very stressful week waiting to see if I was going to make it. I did and we are learning how to cope with the new “normal”. I go next week to get new glasses so maybe I will be able to sit in front of the computer for longer periods. These 10-year-old glasses we found are better than nothing but cause eyestrain if I use them for very long. Sorry about the birthday dedications but I hope to get back to them soon. I think everything in the image is from DAZ but I don’t have the energy to list them.

Oh, I'm so sorry I missed that you were hurt. What a horrible thing to have happen. I'm truly sorry. I'm glad you're on the mend and I hope things continue to improve. You'll be in my thoughts. Take care, stay strong and get better. Blessings to your family, too.

Your render is wonderful and so calming with the summer colors. I hope your art can bring you comfort.

Oh, my God, Teri!! Holy schmikes, girl.... Sounds like you've truly been through one hell of a journey. So glad you're recovering, and my prayers are with you for a full recovery. It's good to see you here again, my friend!

Your accident certainly had no effect on your talent for creating warm, wonderful images! This is gorgeous! I was a lot like Kimo back in the day... Scared s##tless of approaching a girl for the first time. Not sure how I managed to snag the one that's been at my side for almost 50 years, but so glad I did.

Anyway, the Girls and I are pulling for you, Teri! You are strong in all the right ways, and it shows.

Oh' my goodness dear Teri, this is more than one person can endure, I can even feel your daily pain, I hope that you will feel better soon: "I smile because I have survived everything the World has thrown at me. I smile because when I was knocked down, I got up back!" So we are, we never give up, I send you a big virtual hug, Ute

Glad to know the worst is over for you and you're recovering. I really was getting a bit concerned. Must have been real unpleasant what you went through. Please do take care!

Lovely seaside scene. Love the water and lighting. Hope everything works out well for the two!

Teri, I was offline for weeks, and I never saw the announcement that you'd had an accident. I came here tonight, and saw this, and my omg: I'm truly sorry for all you've been through. I'm very relieved that you recovered from it all, but I can fully understand how it takes time to get everything back---movement, agility, balance, strength. You've been so kind here, and so supportive, and you exude real light and uplift, as well as endurance through life's many trials (you just came through a big trial before the accident!), and everyone sees what a lantern you are. I wish you all the healing in the world, and much support and strength from all those you love, and a complete recovery. I luuuuv your image, btw, love the shadow, and the gorgeous aqua greens and blues, and the flirting and unsureness and seduction---you even have a flare in it, which makes it like a photograph. Beautiful piece.

I wish everything good for you, Teri---you deserve every bit of it. And may you be pampered and given all you need on the way...And my best to your husband, and to the rest of your family who are supporting you. Tons of healing to you---lots of big healing hugs.
