Description
I was playing around with different ways to light a scene, and something made me think I should try to use lightsabers. I'm lazy, so they're just long skinny cylinders, one red and one blue. When the colors were fully saturated, it was too much, but taking them down to almost white, with a bluish tint and a reddish tint, ended up making a nicely-balanced warm-cool lighting setup. (And, in hindsight, I could've just changed the temperatures of white lights and gotten the same effect.)
I didn't like the reflections on her lips at first, but they've grown on me now.

Super cute and well done! Pretty necklace! Is it part of some clothing?

It's a piece I've been working on, but it's not quite doing what I want it to. When it conforms to the body, it tends to distort the shape of the chain (like where it gets wide and flat as it bends over her collarbone in this image.) At some point in the future, though, it will be part of a big pack of jewelry I'm going to release, either as free stuff or for the marketplace, or possibly split up with a few things free and the rest for sale.

For some reason 'Light Sabers' isn't the first thing that springs to my mind when thinking about lighting. That, on reflection, could be where I'm going wrong. Lovely portrait.
