Description
Last night while I was rendering for our new project promos, a thought came to my mind: What ever happened to our old friends that we used to follow and see their postings back then? I wonder how they're doing now. I went back to their galleries, most of them haven't posted since 2013 or so. I hope they're okay, doing well and maybe they just decided to retire from posting here. Although I don't post too often, I think about them sometimes ~~ just to name a few, RobynsVeil, Alessimarco, Chucknepo, Ghostman, mgtcs, npauling, zil2008, bazza, lyron, hardwaretoad, legolie, drifterlee, magnus073, 1010, Orest4wicked, brycek, FaeMoon, Dreamdesigner, tofi, brewgirlca, MarciaGomes, midnightmum, flaviok, ToniDunlap, and many others the list goes on and on. It's like going down memory lane to look at their art and to know that back then we mingled at the Rendo galleries, these artists who inspired, worked hard and influenced another artist.

That's a lovely render. As for the sentiment, it's before my time but I know what you mean. Especially in these times we wonder how people we once knew are getting on.

Recognize a few of them names...not all...people move on to other things...i guess..much like old school and military friends....just lose touch in the end...super sweet character and pose....beautiful quality render and lighting...first class work...!!

I think time marches on and so do people. I know I am not around here very much like I use to be. I have so much other stuff going on and do not really find time to do renders like I would enjoy doing. I think back to before Renderosity. There was a couple other forums here that eventually grew into what Renderosity is now. Back when I started with Poser it was more of an online bulletin board. How maybe newbies today even know what that is I wonder. There were a lot of names I came to know because they were the ones using and promoting Poser and sharing their creative efforts. Then in time I saw less and less of them. No idea where most of them are now these days. Same with the ones you named, I remember these friends too. Maybe some of them wonder about me, since I am not around much either. Good thought for sure and a good reason to appreciate what you have before its gone as the saying goes.

Beautiful composition, character and sentiment. Although my time at Renderosity goes back to the beginning, I did not post work in the galleries here, so I did not have the opportunity to meet most of those mentioned. But I was very active as a poster on the other "Rendo" site (the one with almost no posting restrictions) and have had the same thoughts. Many of those people were also active here such as Jean Luc Ajrarn, Matcreator, nightcelt and many others. Time and life caused me to stop posting years ago but now I have the time and I am back active on both sites. Hopefully to make new friends and if I'm lucky find a few of the old ones.

Very beautifully done render! I've also been thinking about some of the artists who used to post here, and haven't been posting for a while. Alias52 is correct in saying that especially in these times we wonder how people we haven't heard from for a while are getting on.

I recognize a few of those names and others who have also moved on for some reason or other. Some I miss dearly because they were some of the first to inspire me and get me into 3D rendering... 🐉

Although I‘m a registered member at rendo since quite a bit of time (last September I should have made a „20th-Aniversary“ render (heck, why didn‘t I do it?) most of the names where not familiar to me. Possibly this is because I first was only occasionally here did not visit the Galleries as regularly as I do now, and only in 2011 I really started participating and posting… However, I made a few dear friends in this last times and I‘m glad most of them still are here.

Beautiful image dear Jenny, I agree, our good old friends are more or less all gone, this gallery is no more the gallery which we had years ago, namely a real Family! Some of these artists are now at DeviantArt or Facebook (mgtcs, bazza, Dreamdesigner, MarciaGomes, Flavioc, Flavia, ToniDunlap ) all the other ones, I hope that they are still alive! Awwwww....So sweet!!! I agree, but there are still a few of the original members around. I joined in 2001, and posted regularly for a long time. I was out for about five years when my husband went through cancer, treatments, hospice, etc., and then died in spite of everything we tried to do for him. I miss Turtle and Fenrissa....always unique work. I still keep up with you, and you are still as awesome as ever. Cheers!
