Description
It has been an emotional week.
I think it will take me a little while to get back into the swing of things. I, however, wanted everyone to know that I am back. Safe and sound.
And I couldn't resist opening up Daz Studio and putting together a render. Consider this character therapy. Zen.
She came to me in the middle of the night. I suspect she's here to serve a purpose.
In the next few days, I will make an effort to start catching up on everyone's wonderful posts. I see the email service is STILL down... Grrr. How many months has it been?
This lovely lady started out as Tara 8. The Emaciation slider has been pushed to 100%. Her character is a Mystical Elf. I decided on a rich plum coloration. At first, I tried to give her a lighter colored hair but it just didn't look right. Golden eyes seemed appropriate, thanks to Twizted Metal. Outfit is lilflame's XXL Shirt, pants from Eastern Riding Wear, with an aged leather shader applied, and the new Liquidator boots. Though those are mostly cropped out because I like close-ups, lol. Got the Infinity Cove prop out again, since for now all I wanted was a clean portrait.
I spent most of the day fiddling with her outfit, until I ended up here.She may have been born to a fantastic world, but she lives now in a more contemporary one. So I felt this worked well. A nice blending of the two that I find that I REALLY like.
Zen was born in the Everwood, and cast into the river, where she floated down into the Netherwood. There she was held captive her whole life, until at around age 20, she broke free. She found herself before a portal that led her to a strange house with even stranger people.
This is actually part of a group exercise. I think it will lead to good things, and honestly? It has given birth to Zen.

Thank you. Tara has a great base skin, and using the "fantasy Skins" material set in conjunction just produced some fantastic results. I'm glad you like it.

Thanks! Sorry I'm kinda dragging slow on getting caught up. Got hit with a wave of depression just as i got home, so dealing with that. Anniversary of the death of my nephew, my father's birthday as well as the anniversary of his death... February sucks.

Thank you. I'm pleased as punch, myself. I've been role-playing this character for a few days on Discord, and she's been an interesting lady to get into the head of. Much more timid than I usually play, she was kept as a pet for her whole life.
I'm loving this portrait though.

Thank you very much. She's been making quite the impression with the rest of the role-play server. A friend of mine created a RP server on discord, basically just each of us creating a character and interacting as that character. Zen is a more timid character than I would normally choose, but I think maybe I sensed a need for my friend to have something to "nurture?" I don't know. Thing is, I expected folks to hate her because she's so shy and uneducated, but the whole server has been very good to her.
Yesterday she came across a wounded baby griffin, and one of the players who's character is literally "I don't care about anything" pitched in to help. It was pretty cool.
