Description

Stairway to Heaven 3 This pose wasn't as easy as the climbing one, but not as difficult as the reclined one (scene 1) Again, work your pose without the clothing. Zoom in to inspect points where the figure might intersect with the prop. Then add the clothing and run dForce. Oh, and I do the posing in frame 30, and frame zero has the figure zeroed out and away from the prop. As dForce simulation progresses through the timeline the dress collides with the stairs in a natural manner.

Oh, yes, and as I've been learning, changing the collision offset and stabilization times might conquer those drapes that seem to explode in the final seconds. The drape here is very nice. I'm contemplating one with multiple figures affecting the same article of clothing, and I've got no idea if its going to work. I expect a lot of time tweaking it on the timeline and a lot of praying as the simulation runs.

I've done that too. The big thing I've noticed is that each frame cannot have any intersection of objects.
