Computer geek extarodinaire, I love to tinker with gadgets and tech items to get them to do what I want. I'm either logically artistic or artisically logical. I'm also rude, crude, semi-barbaric, socially unacceptable, and totally psychotic. On the bright side - I am potentially harmless. I'm currently trying to write some short stories about the fae as well as a novel on those same fae as well as two other novels. The programs I have for photo and image editing are: Photoimpact from Ulead, Adobe Photoshop 7 and Corel Paint Shop Pro 2X. Recently I've added DAZ Studios as well as Terragen, Blender and Google Sketch to my list of programs crowding my hard-drive. All this and much more on an old Pentium III 450 with 396 Megs of memory and operating Windows XP. It does get interesting at time.As of December 26, 2008, I have added Vue 7 Pioneer to my list of reason of why I'm going insane.
As of January 2010 I upgraded to a new HP 2 dual core processor with 6 gigs onboard mem with 4 gig powerboost and 2.07 terabytes of Hard drivesMy email is faemike55@gmail.com

You are funny, clever and strong. Everything you're going through is scary and I wish you nothing but the best. Keep hanging in there!

I've got a mental image of the delivery guys trying to get that thing through the door. 'okay, tip your end up and lean to the left... no, no, left, not right... my left.... okay, hold on, let's turn it around... hold on, set your end down for a second... let's twist it at an angle and lift your end up... okay, this isn't working, let's take the door off the hinges... what do you mean you didn't bring a screwdriver... oh dangit, there's no outlet on this side, flip it around...'

LOL - Scan those Cats! 😄
Fun photo and diversion here, Mike! Hope things are ok on your end - dealing with some issues here, but nothing I can't handle.. Working upstairs on the laptops mostly until it warms up a bit. It's way too cold in the basement. Even had a minor pipe rupture, and it'll take until the 25th to get a plumber out here.

I've seen too many of these things. Once an operator ask me if I had any issues with these machines. I told him I hated the part where I got transported to a different Time and Dimension. I actually got a laugh out of his assistant. Stay Brave and Stay Strong my friend.

I'll have to remember that. If I have to go into this once again. I like this version better than the old-style where you are in a tube and wearing earplugs and earmuffs and a towel over your eyes.

poor you, seems you are always hanging around there... well captured anyway! best to you!

Interesting looking machine, just let us know if your nurse is short with really long red hair.
Faemike55
Well, she had red hair, but it was short. She was also a little taller. She could be her younger sister...

the MRI's gives me the worst discomfort and the most noise. I did have a nucellar medicine scan and the technician pinned my arms down with a towel which gave me claustrophobia.
great capture Mike. the scans do enable the surgeons to understand what problem the patient is having without the dreaded "exploratory surgery"

I was gonna save my best wishes for the last image, but I can't not send my best when seeing this. Love the play on words (cat/cat scan---'cat' is so much more human than 'computed tomography' or 'comp. axial tomography'). I'm really sorry for all you've had to go through, Mike, and how much it's taken you back into treatments, examinations, dealing with after-effects, discomforts, all the adjustments. You deserve all of our praise and wishes for all you've been through. I'm glad this machine is quieter (from one of your replies above), I know the noisy kind, they can be really disturbing, like a loud nightmare. And you had thrush and other complications. I'm sure you're recovering over time. I hope you're feeling better with each day, week or month, and I send you my very best. And this 'cat'? I'd choose a cheshire, because of the big eyes and the gaping mouth (you can see the eyes and mouth, right?) Fine capture of this very unusual feline...and I hope you'll soon be free of it, for a long, long time...

The several MRI's I had before my surgery dont gave me any discomfort, the last time I even fell asleep!!! 😄
