Description

Does anyone know how to reinstall a fresh copy of DAZ Studio onto their computer .I had some problems recently when I updated to 4.15 and all my content was missing . I noticed somehow my DAZ program folders where missing OR had been deleted and when I tried to reinstall a fresh copy of DAZ Studio you have to download DAZ Central first but then there was no download link to reinstall DAZ Studio.I have sent a ticket to DAZ regarding this but they are very slow at responding and its been three weeks already . Sad part about it is that all those merchants that are trying to sell their products on DAZ are missing out on potential sales / income. Fortunately I had a very healthy pipeline and had created many images which I had stockpiled in folders just in case something like this happened.so I will be able to post images from these folders of work previously done.But non the less it is annoying that a link to reinstall DAZ Studio appears to be non existent and if it does exist they have done a great job of hiding it .

I am sorry to hear about your problem. Here is what I can suggest:

Can you determine if your content folder or folders exist from outside of DAZ. Do a windows search for' My DAZ 3D Library' or whatever you named them. If they still do exist, which they probably do, I would back them up to another drive just so you have a copy if the installation really goes badly.
Can you get to DAZ Central? If Yes
Look on the left hand side of the page for the 'Applications' sub-head and click on it. On the Left side of the page, do you see a Yellow 'UPDATE' button. Click on it.

Let me know where in this process you get into trouble and I will try to help.

Thanks for the info I managed to reinstall DAZ Studio so all seems to be running okay for the moment .

Try installing it through DIM instead of Daz Central

Wonderful portrait,very beautiful,fantastic work,excellent done. I make a weekly backup of all Daz related directories, since then I've never had a problem. If something goes wrong, I reinstall the backup.
