___ What I particularly enjoy doing, when days are short and lighting conditions are harsh, is to try and capture the lighting and the atmosphere of a place that might appear otherwise absolutely different from what people know it to be as a rule, under ordinary or conventional lighting conditions...

Calm and serene winter scene. Love the reflections in the lake. The late afternoon glow of the setting (?) sun gives a touch of warmth to what would otherwise appear a frigid snowscape.
