Love the contrasting cold of the snow and the warmth provided by the fire. Great fun drinking hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows! Takes me back to my youth when a bunch of the neighbors got together in winter and went down to what we called the lone tree. A solitary ancient cottonwood, that stood by the banks of the Missouri river and the inlet of a small creek. We would skate for hours there having a blast and yes, there was always a huge camp fire and hot chocolate from thermoses. Nice memories!

It looks like fun. I used to love toasting marshmallows on camping trips trying to get that perfect golden brown without setting them on fire. Thanks for sharing.
