I seen so many dry salt flats on the flight that it could have been in the area. I read that the runways there are among the longest in the world. at times the smoke prevented me from seeing the ground

I honestly do not know. the terrain does resemble Nevada. I lost track of where the jet was because sometimes the ground was almost not visible because of smoke coverage

I love the tales of D.U.M.B. (Deep Underground Military Bases). In NM we have legends galore. .Archiletta Mesa, The Sandia Mountains, Los Alamos, and elsewhere in the state all have UFO hunters coming here. Well, if nothing else, its great for tourism.
